A sanctuary after the craziness of Kathmandu. It's situated on Lake Phewa, a small lake surrounded 2/3 by hills and 1/3 the city. On a clear day you get a fantastic view of the Annapurna Range.
We stayed here after finding it in the Lonely Planet, with a highly recommended rating (top 5 places to stay). It is very close to the airport (about 10-minute drive) and on one end of the main drag for travelers, which just happens to be along the lakeshore of Phewa (fewa) Lake. They have friendly helpful staff, plus clean and comfy rooms that are very reasonably priced ($10-!5 per night). The rooftop terrace offers fabulous morning views of the Annapurnas (during high season-October).
